Hi! I’m Alyssa! I’m an Occupational Therapist (OT), board certified and Licensed in Michigan, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, and a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Grand Valley State University.
Pediatrics has always been my passion. I have close to a decade of experience in Pediatrics, with the entirety of my professional career working in Outpatient Pediatrics supporting kiddos with:
Autism and developmental delays
Sensory integration and processing differences
ADHD and executive functioning difficulties
Dyspraxia, strength, and motor coordination challenges
Emotional regulation, social-emotional skills, peer engagement
Visual tracking, scanning, and convergence skills
Primitive reflex integration
My goal is to provide individualized, creative interventions to help children become more successful and independent in their everyday life. Through play and child-centered care, I strive to help children reach their full potential, all while having fun!
Fun Facts About Me:
I love the outdoors, hiking, hammocking, and sight-seeing. I have a goal of visiting all 63 national parks with my husband in our lifetime!
I am an avid gardener. I love learning new gardening techniques and expanding my knowledge each year.
My hobbies include knitting, cross stitching, embroidery, sewing….anything I can do with my hands!
I love playing board games and video games with friends. Stardew Valley and Mario Kart are my favorite!
I love snuggling my two kitties, Loki and Luna.
I am a Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel, and all things Disney fan. Being a kid at heart makes my job even more enjoyable, and sharing interests with your child makes connecting and building a strong therapeutic relationship easy and fun!
